It is without a doubt, this default setting provides excellent results with both video and sound. But it is the encoding process within this setting that seriously slows down export.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I’ve done some monotonous experimenting and fine tuning with QuickTime, Final Cut Pro and Compressor, to find a less time consuming way to export video files. I feel I have what is not just a considerably faster way, but also gives pretty much comparable quality to the Quicktime default setting. Another bonus is the final file sizes are somewhat smaller, allowing you to squeeze just that bit more on your iPod.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Please follow the instructions below to emulate my settings. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In the QuickTime Pro, select Export &gt; Movie to MPEG-4. &lt;br /&gt;You will find the file format default setting is set to MP4 (ISMA), change this to MP4.
